Dear Los Angeles,
It has been 1,373 days since we last spoke on South Central Is Mecca Part One. After four years and twelve different versions—starting from scratch each time—I have returned. I am rooted, ready, and released. Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard. Meet God Son, Kingdom Builder, and The Apex.
I didn't die, I lived. and now I'm telling the world what God Did!
“Listen to this young man, he is about to change the world with the truth he is after.” - Brien McMullen, an Educator in Tacoma, Washington.
For the first time ever, our south central los angeles history book series will be presented in a coffee table / magazine fashion while reading like a TV Series Script coming from Tha Hood Private Investigator wit family ties. A literal four year investigation written from the desk of WWII. Nobody is safe. The puzzle shall be revealed.
While South Central is Mecca Part I featured 370 black-and-white pages, Part II has expanded into a massive 800-page full-color experience—a "bookmobile museum," so to speak. This "smart book" bridges the past, present, and future, allowing you to view archival digital footage directly from the physical pages. It is the culmination of over 100 years of investigation and history.
In addition to the book, we are releasing the curated SCIM Score and Soundtrack series. This historic musical experience showcases the evolution of Black and California music through a series of focused, study-based playlists designed to keep you inspired. The full package will include:
- Beautifully Dark: Evolution of Black Music Part II
- SCIM Block Party Reunion: Soundtrack Part 1
- Once Upon a Time in South Central: Soundtrack Disc 2
We are taking South Central is Mecca nationwide, and you are the builders of this kingdom. I refuse to settle for anything less than greatness because that is what this community deserves.
There is still time to add historic moments in real-time before production begins, so please allow us until May to begin shipping orders. I promise the wait will be worth it, as we are even investing in custom packaging for this release.
This work is dedicated to the loving memory of Cleer Marie Alvern Cooper.
